Hi. You've found your way to the old website for Bristol Active. To see the new one with lots of fun events go to www.bristolactive.org.uk cheers,
Thanks for your responses for the indoor skydiving at Milton Keynes - I have emailed everyone who was okay with the date and told them what time to book. If you want to see what's involved see www.airkix.com. If anyone else wants to join us let me know by email or fb msg.
Come and join me for a fun and relaxed night out at Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf on Friday 22nd January 2010.
Jungle Rumble is a new entertainment venue in Bristol,it is situated on the 3rd level of the Cabot Circus shopping centre. I have been to have a look this morning and it is a great venue for a bristol active event.
It is an 18 hole adventure golf course.
The cost is £6 per person per game and we can pay on the night.
I have booked one game for 8.30pm.
Please arrive at 8.15pm ready to start at 8.30pm. Each game takes about one hour.
Please email me if you are interested in coming along by 15th January so that I can confirm numbers.
I plan to go somewhere else for a drink afterwards. Refreshments are also available at the golf course.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I am organising a trip to Bristol City Gallery and Museum on Park Street on January the 10th to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition. I would imagine that entry is free but bring some money for coffee / tea.
Please meet at the reception desk in the Museum at 2pm. If late please call me.
Anyone interested in attending should email me before the day.
Does anyone fancy going to see Eddie Izzard at Cardiff International Arena on Friday 20th November? Eddie Izzard is a transvestite comedian but don't let that put you off because he's hugely funny and this is his first tour in 6 years. He's also been in Ocean's 12 and 13 films and has recently completed 43 marathons in 52 days for Charity Sport Relief.
Ticketmaster has tickets at £30 per head plus £4.75 per head booking fee plus a £3.50 either postage or collection fee and one person can buy up to 6 tickets.
If you would like to go then I'll get the tickets but I'm afraid I'll need your money first at £35.33 per person. It's a bit pricey but the reviews are really good and if you're an Eddie fan like me then its hard to miss out ;-)
If you're interested in going then please send an email to Alison at the address in the 9 Nov email.
I am organising the second Pub/SingStar night for North Brizzle/South Glos.
The plan is to meet from 8.30 p.m. at the Three Brooks pub in central Bradley Stoke and then, for those who are interested, mozy over to my house (less than 5 mins walk) at around 10.30 p.m. til late (last time it was 1.30 a.m. ish). For anyone unfamiliar with SingStar its basically a Karoake based game
where you get scored on timing and pitch rather than finesse... or peers! You can choose to sing solo, duet, or go for a head to head battle.
Basically, its just fun with friends.
The link for more info is :-
I do have a lot of songs to choose from and more since the first event. So, if you want to save time or make sure there is something that you can sing please feel free to pick one before you arrive......
Use the link:-
I have the following disks - Queen, Abba, SingStar Vol. 3, SingStar Vol. 2, Singstar.
Please let me know in advance if you want to come.
