Bathford Walk and Sunday Lunch 31 August

Bathford - Hilly Walk, and Sunday Lunch at the Crown (no bookings, so pot-luck here for space) Sunday 31st August 2008. Walk length 4 miles. Exploring the pretty village of Bathford and climbing up through the woods to Browns Folly, and on to the pub for a drink and maybe a meal.

Start point - 11am at the parish church of St Swithun's (with a tower) Church Road, Bathford.  O/S Map 172 grid ref ST 788 666. Postcode BA1 7RW. Directions - I'm going to take the M4 east to Junction 18, then the A46 down to the A4 road out of Bath, then the A363 in the direction of Bradford on Avon, but turn left almost immediately into Bathford, then take a right turn into Church road. If you live in South Bristol you may find it easier to take the A4 east through Bath to the A363.

Bring drinking water, waterproof clothing, walking boots, & money for pub.
