Hiya! The next Chillout will be at the Ostrich pub by Bristol General Hospital on Sunday 5th August. For those that havent been to a chillout before, it is just an excuse to meet up to have a few drinks and have Sunday lunch (optional). Stay for as long or as short as you like. Time: 1pm onwards The Ostrich has a massive menu including Pub Tapas, Salads,Oven Baked Baguettes, Jackets, Toasties, Curries, Burgers, Steaks ,Vegetarian options and Sunday Roasts. Hi All,
I am organising a bit of pub crawl on Friday 11th August. I thought that while we still have the
weather for it it would be nice to have a few drinks by the water.
The plan for the night is;
08:00pm Meet at the Cottage pub (Baltic Wharf, Cumberland Road) . It is right on the
water front, with a good selection of beers and great pub food.
09:00pm Move onto the Nova Scotia (1 Nova Scotia Place, Hotwells). Quite a old fashioned but welcoming pub with a nautical theme. Again, a good selection of beers and wines/
10:00pm Final pub for the evening is the Pump House. A newly refurbished pub with great views over the river.
These pubs are located at the end of the waterway by the large locks which connects to the estuary.
If you are new to the group, do come along and say hi.

Hi Everybody,
For those who are interested in the Balloon night glow at Ashton Court Balloon Fiesta,we will be meeting at the Tobacco Factory, North Street, Bedminster. From previous experience this is a good area to park and leave your car becuase the Ashton Court Estate becomes a nightmare for parking during this event!
I will be at the Tobacco Factory on Sat 12th Aug at 7pm. We shall have a drink or 2, then around 8pm we shall be walking to Ashton Court for the night glow, which is about 15 to 20 minutes walk. The night glow takes place between 9 and 9.30pm then straight after there is a firework display in the same area.
