I think its time that we did something new and a little more active! So, how about paintballing?

Date: Sunday 1st Oct

Venue: One of four sites in Bristol (venue tba)

Cost: £17 (normal price is £25)

Pub Quiz Night - Tues 19th Sept

Hi All,

Its time to get the thinking caps again guys for the next General Knowledge pub quiz!

Last time, the BACS teams finished 1st and 3rd but dont worry the emphasis is on fun not winning!!

Venue: The Shakespeare Pub, Prince St by Jurys Hotel (there is parking nearby at Mud Dock or Queen Square)

Date: Tuesday 19th Sept
Time: Please be there from 8.30 to 8.40 to get seats.
Quiz starts at 9pm and lasts to approx 10.30pm

Entry fee: £1 per person

We will split into teams on the night depending on numbers. New members welcome!

Bath Pub Crawl - Friday 22nd Sept

Hi there!

Its been a few months since our last pub crawl and I thought we should
incorporate our next one with our annual trip to sample the beers of Bath!

Details - Friday 22nd Sept

Ale House - 1 York St
8.40 to 9.20pm

The Ale House is split in two from the cellar bar to the main bar.
The bar is small but as a modern feel to it . They serve a good selection
of drinks.

Crystal Palace -10/11 Abbey Green
9.20pm to 10.00pm

The Crystal Palace is over 300 years old. The pub is split in two with a non
smoking room and smoking room. There is a large rear beer Garden and the bar
offers a wide range of drinks including real ale.


The Lambrettas Bar - 8/10 North Parade
10.00pm - Late

The Lambrettas bar has to by one of most unusual bars in the country. The
theme for this bar is Scooters, with one when you go into the bar and one in
the bar area itself. The bar has wooden panelling throughout the bar area
and is modern with its own style to it. Again, there is a great selection of
wines, lagers and beers.


I am planning to catch the 8.22pm train from Temple Meads. If we can meet
up between 8.00pm and 8.10pm outside the station as this will give us some
time to get our tickets and make our way to the platform. The cost for the
train is £5.40, this is a cheap day return.
