Hi All
I'm organising another pub night this week on Friday (16th). We will start off at Bed Bar (on the corner of King Street / Welsh Back) from 8.30 and probably move on to a different venue (somewhere not too far away!) about 10.30ish. Everyone welcome, including new members! See you there! Duncan duncanbristol@aol.com
Hiya!
Blagdon Lake Walk & Sunday Lunch 25 February 2007. This is about 6 or 7 miles, and about 3 hours. Blagdon is a beautiful little village with old houses and lovely views of the lake. Your boots may not be completely dry by the time we reach the end of the walk, but it will be worth it.
Start point - Blagdon's Free Car Park (well sign-posted as you enter the village) O/S grid ref ST 501 593. Meet 10.30am.
Directions - A38 South to Havyatt Green. Turn right on to minor road towards Blagdon. Once you reach the A368 turn left on to it. Follow the A368 to Blagdon. The car park is a sign-posted left turn.
I will fix up a pub lunch at the New Inn. Let me know by 18 Feb if you want to come to this.
Bring drinking water, waterproof clothing, walking boots, & money for pub.
Please let me know if you want to come on the walk.
All the best
Hi all,
I am organising a walking weekend in Wales staying in the quaint town of Monmouth. The proposed walks will be - Saturday - Sugar Loaf Mountain nr Abergavenny, Sunday - the countryside around Monmouth itself.
In Monmouth there is accomodation at Wetherspoons and also the Punch House. Prices at Wetherspoons are from £40.00 per night per room does not include breakfast but it is available. The Punch House - 3 tarrifs 1 single rm - £39.95 double and twin £49.95 and triple room £69.95. All rooms at Punch House include breakfast. Both venues are popular and book quickly.
All interest in this needs to be directed to me no later than 10th March 07.
At that point I will then do a final check on availability of accomodation and book accordingly. Numbers on this will be limited and flexibility on sharing a room with someone, keeps costs down and enable more people to take part.
Kind regards
Lynnette.
